VIUTV: 我不是廢老 (Senior's Got Talent)
the Hong Kong Design Institute, HKDI, has invited John Marcus Banday Mase as a guest designer in the program viuTV: 我不是廢老 (Senior's Got Talent) where young talents help the elderly revisit their youth and showcase their talent.
John Marcus was partnered with Joyce and his job was to help her achieve her goal through fashion.
in the past, to describe the elderly, we would say that an old family is like a treasure;
today, however, these two words may be the most deeply rooted ones in the hearts of many people - waste & old!
JM designed a flowery infinity dress for Joyce. I printed her Chinese Flower Paintings and used as patchwork to create a flower and blooming effect. Lastly, I topped it off with her brimmed-flower hat.
My focus was to not only make her feel young but also elegant. I wanted to make her feel like she is still blooming and as beautiful as her paintings.
